Elizabeth UMC Receives One Matters Award

Elizabeth United Methodist Church is honored to have received the One Matters Award, a recognition from Discipleship Ministries of The United Methodist Church celebrating congregations that are experiencing renewed life through discipleship, baptisms, professions of faith, and meaningful connection.

The award was announced by Rev. Alan Felton at the 2026 North Carolina Annual Conference on June 19 at the Greenville Convention Center. It was later presented to the Elizabeth UMC congregation by Reverend Dr. David Joyner, Capital District Superintendent, with Pastor Ramon Wycoff accepting the award on behalf of the church.

This recognition is especially meaningful in Elizabeth UMC’s ongoing story of renewal, resilience, and faithful ministry in Johnston County. It reflects the ways God continues to bring new life, deeper connection, and a growing sense of belonging within our church family and community.

For us, the One Matters Award is a beautiful reminder that one person matters, one story matters, one baptism matters, and one community of faith can make a difference.

Thanks be to God for all that God is doing in and through Elizabeth United Methodist Church.

There’s a place for you here. Come as you are. All are welcome at the table.
